Book Descriptions
for Two Girls Can! by Keiko Narahashi
From Cooperative Children's Book Center (CCBC)
Two girls playing together can do many things, according to Keiko Narahasi’s luminous watercolor illustrations and short, patterned narrative. “Two girls can fly a kite, or dig a hole, then make a tunnel and meet in the middle.” They can also “get really really mad,” but only for a little while, before they begin another adventure. Girls of several racial and ethnic heritages romp, jump, and caper in this cheerful celebration of preschool-age fun. (Ages 2-4)

From the Publisher
Two girls can hold hands, give bear hugs, be best friends. Two girls can get really, really mad, then make up and be brave together. Two girls can share a treat, share a joke, and share a friend.
In a simple text and glowing full-color watercolor paintings, Keiko Narahashi celebrates the essence of little girls and their friendships.
