Anna Dewdney: Hello, my name is Anna Dewdney, and that's a very strange name, I know. Actually, Dewdney is English. But if you want to figure out how to remember to say it, you can just think of dude. Some of my students used to call me Dude. Dewdney. Dewdney. It's not the name that I was born with; my maiden name was Luhrmann. Or, if you were German, you would pronounce it LOOUR-mun. L-U-H-R-M-A-N-N. And that means "farmer." But when I got married, I took my husband's name, which was Dewdney.
