My name wasn't always Kate McMullan. I grew up as Katie Hall, and I thought I would be Katie Hall forever, but then I married Jim McMullan, and he said, "Let's just all be McMullans here in this family," and I thought, "Okay." And I had always wanted to be a Kate instead of a Katie, so I thought, well, I'm changing my last name. Maybe I'll change my first name too, and that's how I became Kate McMullan, and I have never looked back. I like my name very much.
